OPD

OPD-Scans measures the shape of the cornea (topography) and the refractive error of the eye (refractometer). This scan can help to determine the cause of vision difficulties and it is helpful in planning cataract surgery.  

 

The OPD aids in planning cataract surgery with toric intraocular lenses to correct astigmatism.  The corneal topographer generates intuitive maps of the corneal surface to diagnose corneal pathology such as keratoconus or pellucid marginal degeneration.
